Oh, Las Vegas! The name itself conjures images of dazzling lights, thrilling entertainment, and endless possibilities. When the opportunity arose for a quick yet impactful escape to Sin City, we jumped at it, especially with the incredible convenience of non-stop flights to Las Vegas with Allegiant Airlines. Seriously, if you're looking to maximize your Vegas time and minimize travel hassle, Allegiant is a game-changer. The direct flight felt incredibly quick and seamless, getting us from our home airport straight into the heart of the action, ready to roll!
Upon our arrival, we immersed ourselves in European elegance by checking into the iconic Paris Hotel. Stepping into the lobby felt less like a hotel and more like being transported directly to the City of Lights, complete with stunning replicas of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and charming Parisian-inspired architecture throughout. Our room offered breathtaking panoramic views of the vibrant Las Vegas Strip, serving as the perfect backdrop for our unforgettable escapade. The ambiance was sophisticated yet fun, truly capturing the essence of Paris with a Vegas twist.
Our days in Vegas were a dynamic blend of high-energy excitement and unique discoveries. For that quintessential Vegas pool party experience, we headed to Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub. The energy there was a complete vibe, pulsating with incredible music, a vibrant crowd, but boy was it hot - we were battling 100+ degree weather but we decided to
indulge in a day bed in order to get a little bit of shade. At the time we went we had about a minimum spend of $300, the price has gone up for the day bed and is now resting at $1,200 minimum spend for the day bed that hosts 6 people but if you do book further out you may be able to snag the minimum spend of $200 but you gotta go on like a Sunday and plan out a month in advance. Take that how you want and weather or not you want to spend something of that caliber - remember Vegas is E X P E N S I V E. Now that we told you how much our minimum was here is what we ordered. Due to it being so extremely hot one of the things we really NEEDED was water - now they only sold water by the bottle and because we are in a section we spent $60 for about 6 waters... yes you heard right - $10 per bottle of water. Now, I know what you are thinking - chileeeeee' what - yes we
we paid that much bahahaha - we was thirsty and remember that it was 100+ degrees outside sooooooo - we needed to be hydrated honayyyy. Now that measly $60 bucket of water bottles was not gonna make us meet our minimum spend, so we decided to get a little drank too. Prebiously online somewhere we saw that we could get these cocktail pitchers, so you know we were like bet we'll get one of those and sip on throughout the day toward the minimum spend -- yeah NO. They don't have those anymore. You have to get a bottle and babyeeeee they were charging like $600 for a meassssslyyyy bottle of CASAMIGOS -- nah son. So I was like ok whats the cheapest thing we can get and out pool girl was like you can get a shaker of 10 shots and it comes still with the mixers for like $200 (cringgeeeee) - so I was like ok we'll do that. Mind you it was so hot that we barely drank because when I say I literally felt like I was in an OVEN, I mean it. Now i know what you are thinking - you're
probably like Melissa what was the food situation like and child it was pretty good. We ended up getting a fruit platter and this taco platter thats supposed to be like for 4 people or something and we just ate on that for the rest of the day. On the day we went Nick Cannon was Wildin' Out at Drai's, which added a layer of celebrity flair and impromptu entertainment! It was a fantastic way to soak up the glorious Vegas sun while enjoying the quintessential pool party vibe. I definitely think the pool party thing is something you must do at least once in Vegas and they have a plethora around Vegas that can meet your music vibes - Drais is for the hip hop and r&b crowds for sure.
But Vegas isn't just about the casinos and the Strip; it's surrounded by incredible natural beauty. We carved out time to venture just a short drive from the city to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Red Rock Canyon. The contrast was striking – moving from the glittering urban jungle to the serene, majestic desert felt like stepping into another world. The vibrant red rock formations were absolutely stunning, and hiking through the winding trails amidst this ancient landscape provided a refreshing and peaceful counterpoint to the bustling city. It was a beautiful reminder of the diverse experiences Vegas and its surroundings have to offer.
Of course, we had to indulge in the world-class culinary scene! Vegas is a true paradise for foodies. We experienced the chic and glamorous atmosphere (and delicious cocktails!) at Vanderpump à Paris, feeling like we were part of a high-end reality show – the decor alone is worth a visit! It was absolutely perfect for to our date night out within our hotel. I hade the Frosé Royale which consisted of the Vanderpump Rosé, Vanderpump Vodka, Elderflower, lemon strawberry and garnished with a rose. Hubby had the Cast Iron Filet with the Gruyere fries and I had the Butter prawns and everything was asbolutely delicious. The next morning we decided to have a more relaxed but equally delicious start to our day, Brunch at
Alexxa's was an excellent choice. The lively ambiance, combined with a delectable menu of brunch favorites and refreshing drinks, perfectly energized us for another day of exploration. It was perfectly situated across from the Bellagio so we got to see the Fountain shows. Started our meal off with the fresh Fruit Tower that had exotic seasonal fruit and coconut whipped cream and to drink we had the Jungle bird (Mount Gay XO, Pineapple Juice, Campari, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup) and Strawberry Fields Cocktails (Old Forrester Whiskey, Strawberry Pureé, Lemon Juice, Agave). For my meal i decided to go with the Snow crab omelet (Deep Sea Snow Crab, Asparagus, Havarti, Hollandaise, Fine Herbs, Alexxa’s Breakfast Potatoes, English Muffin) and hubby had the CINNAROLL WAFFLE (Cream Cheese Frosting, Blueberries, Raspberries, Candied Pecans) with a side of bacon - everything was absolutely delicious and filling and it helped start our day off right!!
For a unique and truly unforgettable fun date day, we ventured off-Strip to the highly recommended Meow Wolf Omega Mart. This isn't just an art exhibit; it's a mind-bending, interactive, and wildly creative immersive experience housed within a seemingly ordinary supermarket that hides secret portals to fantastical, surreal worlds. We spent hours exploring every bizarre aisle, discovering hidden passages, interacting with quirky
installations, and being completely captivated by its vibrant, otherworldly charm. It’s a must-do for anyone looking for an unconventional, artistic, and incredibly fun adventure that sparks imagination and wonder. To maximize our experiences and ensure we made the most of our budget, we wisely utilized the Go City day pass. This pass was incredibly convenient and cost-effective, allowing us access to multiple attractions and tours for one inclusive price. It removed the stress of constantly buying individual tickets and encouraged us to explore different facets of Vegas, from bus tours to various unique experiences, all seamlessly included. It’s definitely a smart way to navigate the city’s myriad offerings.
