Last weekend, my family and I set out on an adventure to Aquatica, Orlando's premier waterpark. Known for having the most water slides in the city, Aquatica truly lives up to its reputation as the ultimate family-friendly destination. From the thrilling water slides to the serene lazy river, Aquatica truly has something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for families with kids of all ages. This park truly has something for everyone, from toddlers to grandparents.
A Splashing Start with Tassie's Underwater Twist & Turi's Cove
We kicked off our adventure with one of Aquatica’s newest attractions, Tassie’s Underwater Twist! This underwater twist slide is perfect for kids of all ages, and it’s a fun and immersive experience that leaves you in awe of its visual effects. Our son, LeMel, couldn’t get enough of the twists and turns and was all smiles as we sped down the slide. The excitement on his face was priceless, and it set the tone for an incredible day ahead! Tassie's Underwater Twist is an immersive visual slide that provides an exciting and unique experience. With twists and turns that seem endless, it's a must-try for those looking to get their adrenaline pumping.
As a family with a 5-year-old, we were thrilled to discover Turi's Kids Cove, a paradise for little ones. LeMel couldn't get enough of the fun splash areas, gentle slides, and interactive water features. While LeMel was busy slipping and sliding around, Mom, Dad, and the grandparents found a moment to unwind at Trader Turi's Tiki Bar. Sipping on tropical drinks while watching the little ones play was the perfect way for us adults to relax and recharge.
For a more laid-back experience, we took a leisurely float down Loggerhead Lane, Aquatica's lazy river. It's a great way to cool down and relax as you float gently along the winding waterway, soaking in the sunshine and scenery. The gentle currents and beautiful surroundings provided a perfect breather before our next adventure. If you are wanting a little bit more of an adventure we highly recommend going down Roa's Rapids!
The Comfort of a Private Cabana
But the real highlight of our day was our private cabana, strategically located right by Roa's Rapids. If you're looking for a little slice of paradise within the park, this is it! Our cabana was a perfect retreat with comfortable loungers and chairs, a ceiling fan to keep cool, and even a private fridge stocked with bottled water. The rental towels and private locker made it convenient for us to store our belongings and dry off after each dip in the water. The best part? We had our own cabana steward who took care of all our food and beverage needs through a simple QR code system, allowing us to relax without any hassle. The loungers and chairs were ideal for lounging and catching up on some relaxation while keeping an eye on the kids enjoying the rapids.
All-Day Dining Deal: The Best Value Around
To top off our experience, we took advantage of Aquatica’s all-day dining deal. This fantastic option allowed us to enjoy 1 entrée, 1 side or dessert, and a drink every 90 minutes. Not only did it make dining incredibly convenient, but the ability to mobile order also meant we avoided long lines and spent more time having fun. The value was outstanding, and the variety of food kept everyone satisfied and fueled for more adventures.
Dazzling Nights and Days at Aquatica
Aqua Glow, Aquatica’s new family-friendly nighttime event that turns the park into a dazzling neon paradise! Running until September 28, it’s a must-experience event for anyone looking to add some extra excitement to their visit. Hubby and I got to experience this event a few weeks before our visit & we couldn’t get enough of the ALL-NEW Electric Tides, a mesmerizing laser light show that syncs perfectly with the music. It was truly awe-inspiring! We danced the night away like we were teenagers. Riding the waves of Cutback Cove and floating down Roa’s Rapids AMPED UP was a blast—especially with the mist effects, captivating projections, and immersive light tunnels that made each ride even more thrilling.We couldn't help but feel like giddy kids running and swimming around in the neon lights. The foam party was a highlight of the night, and we loved dancing to the hottest music while enjoying complimentary soft drinks to stay refreshed. The best part? With the limited capacity, there were minimal wait times for all our favorite attractions, so we got to make the most of every moment. So, if you’re looking for a nighttime adventure that adds a little extra sparkle to your waterpark experience, Aqua Glow is definitely the way to go!
Finally starting on October 26th and running until December 21st - the lights go dim and you can enjoy some unforgettable family time under the stars. With freshly popped popcorn, food and snacks and varying beverages like hot chocolate - families can have an unforgetable evening watching family friendly movies after sliding down the slides.
